I believe in the importance of fiscal accountability and transparency. These fiscal practices increase trust in government and allow for better oversight and informed decision-making. When citizens have access to clear, detailed information about government spending, they can advocate for their priorities and ensure that taxpayer dollars are being used effectively.
Education
Our state's educational system is the cornerstone of our future prosperity and success. Education is the key to unlocking opportunity and realizing potential. Being raised in Idaho, I am a product of the Idaho educational system. Our devoted teachers encouraged my academic achievement and prepared me for my professional path in finance and public policy. Challenges persist in education despite efforts to improve outcomes. Student achievement, teacher retention, and equitable access to quality education remain significant hurdles, particularly in rural areas. I am committed to supporting our dedicated teachers, parents, and students.
Public Safety
"Back the Blue" is not just a slogan, it is a commitment to the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve. I firmly stand in support of our law enforcement officers, will support policies that equip our officers with the resources need to do their jobs effectively, and hold accountable those whose actions are contrary to the principles of our justice system. I am deeply grateful for the sacrifices made by our law enforcement officers and their families. I am committed to advocating for their well-being and appreciation for their service.
Transportation & Infrastructure
Investing in transportation and infrastructure is crucial for the prosperity and connectivity of our communities. Travel times and transportation challenges have increased with our growing population, particularly for residents in our district. It is vital to enhance traffic flow, mitigate congestion, and draw upon best practices. By doing so, we can enhance the driving experience, bolster commuter safety, and elevate overall quality of life. I am committed to backing innovative and cost-effective transportation and infrastructure initiatives that serve the needs of our community.
